Letter
to Ed Ford from a principal of a middle school in Clare,
Michigan
Ed,
It has been a while
since I have contacted you. An opportunity presented
itself this morning to update you on the progress of
Clare Middle School, and myself.
We are continuing to
see some very positive things occurring at the school.
We are beginning to notice cleaner halls, students who
are treating each other and teachers better, and our
test scores have made a very nice improvement this
year. We have put together a Core Team, that has
parents, teachers, the secretary, and others on it, and
have met three times.
A survey was also put together,
on the staff's perception of the process and the
benefits. Needless to say we were a bit surprised by
the number of positive responses that were received and
the perception that we have right now that we may be
around 75% of the staff buying in and now using the
process. All in all the perception is that we are
heading in the right direction. Many thanks also need
to be sent to Evart School District for all of their
help.
On a personal level, I
have begun reading your book, Freedom From Stress. You
have made a difference in my life with this book!!! You
can not believe how much clearer this book has made the
whole process, and how much better I feel about myself.
You cannot imagine how much easier it has made dealing
with kids and attempting to help them through the
different levels. So many of them come to us programmed,
some in a not so positive way.
The goal is to try and
get them to reprogram through the systems level and
concept level. Heck not only do I use this process on
the kids, I use it on myself, and with the staff.
Needless to say your process, the perceptual control
theory, your books, everything Ed is having an impact.
In closing, I wish to
thank you so very much for all you have done. This is
exactly what so many people need. I look forward to
speaking with you, have a great weekend.
